As future nurses, we understand the profound impact trauma, abuse, and neglect can have on individuals and communities. That's why the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students (KANS) is proud to partner with One Bridge to Hope, an organization dedicated to empowering women who have faced these challenges.
One Bridge to Hope provides essential services to women experiencing homelessness, addiction, and other life-altering circumstances. They offer safe housing, trauma-informed counseling, healthcare navigation, and job training, helping women rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
This year, we're excited to make One Bridge to Hope a central focus of our upcoming conference! We encourage all attendees to:
Learn more: Visit onebridgetohope.com to understand their mission and the impact they make.
Donate: Consider bringing new or gently used items from their wish list https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vaTPZ-t3c69z0rhonbe6gfWYiu2RZtmh/view?usp=sharing to donate at the conference. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference!
Spread the word: Share this blog post and information about One Bridge to Hope with your classmates, friends, and family.
But our support doesn't have to stop at the conference! Here are some ways individuals and KANS chapters can continue to champion One Bridge to Hope:
Organize donation drives: Partner with your local school or community center to host a drive for items on One Bridge to Hope's wish list.
Volunteer your time: If you're able, consider volunteering directly with One Bridge to Hope. They offer a variety of opportunities to make a hands-on impact.
Fundraise: Organize a fundraising event or campaign to support One Bridge to Hope's critical work.
By working together, we can make a real difference in the lives of women overcoming adversity. Join us in supporting One Bridge to Hope and building a brighter future for all!
Together, we can be a bridge of hope for those in need.
